Team Members of the National Pardon Centre
Nicole Levesque is Co-Founder and National Program Director for the National Pardon Centre. Nicole holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology. She continued her education and completed a Master's Degree in Criminology in May 2000. Since that time Nicole has worked in the criminal justice system and she is one of the leading authorities on Canadian pardons and US entry waivers in Canada.
Michael Ashby is Co-Founder and Communications Director for the National Pardon Centre. Michael Holds a Bachelors Degree in English and a Master's Degree in Intellectual and Cultural History. Michael has written for several publications on criminal records and pardons and is currently a regular columnist for Over the Road Magazine, a monthly publication for the trucking industry. Michael is the primary contact for all media, advertising and website related issues.
Keri Wallis joined the National Pardon Centre in November 2005 after moving to Montreal from PEI where she had worked at the Provincial Correctional Centre. Keri holds a diploma in Correctional Applied Social Sciences and is currently the Regional Program Director for the Montreal Office.
Kyle Pistawka joined the National Pardon Centre in October of 2007 after graduating from the University of Calgary with a degree in Political Science. His duties as a counselor include everything from meeting with clients to discuss their files, to following up with courts and the police as to the status of various requests on the behalf of our clients. Kyle is also involved with United States entry waiver applications and specializes in waiver preparation for unusual cases of disqualification for entry to the USA.
Shereef Elshafei is the official Spokesperon for the National Pardon Centre. He speaks regularly at detention facilities, help-centers, and has lectured the Association of Court Prosecutors of Quebec. Shereef holds a Bachelors and a Master's Degree in History and has been working for the National Pardon Centre since November 2002. Please contact Shereef to arrange your own free group presentation.
Simon Turcotte joined the National Pardon Centre in October 2006. He is a graduate of the University of Laval with a joint major in Political Science and Economics. Simon is the principle court correspondent as well as a Case Manger, handling all aspects of Pardon and Waiver applications. An outspoken proponent of Canada's pardon system he encourages everyone he meets to understand the program and take advantage of it if needed.
Julie Craig joined the National Pardon Centre in August 2007. She is a graduate of Sociology from Concordia University. During her studies Julie gained a strong interest in criminology and the Canadian Justice System. Julie is always available to counsel people on criminal records and Canada's pardon program.
Yin Ying Zhou joined the National Pardon Centre is November 2007. Ying has a bachelor's degree in Education from the Hubei Normal Institute in China and a Master's Degree in Educational Science from the University of Haute Bretagne, France. Ying is in charge of receiving clients at our Montreal walk-in centre, offering consultations and handles file preparation for both Pardon and Waivers. In addition to English and French Ying is fluent in Mandarin.
Tania Escalante graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors degree in Sociology combined with a concentration in Criminal Deviance. She began working for the National Pardon Centre in November 2007 and handles all aspects for a client's file preparation in addition to her counselling and consultation roles. Tania is also responsible for handling all group presentations in the Calgary area and is always available to help spread awareness on criminal records and Canada's program for granting pardons.
Above are the current employees of the National Pardon Centre. The list includes only full-time NPC staff. In addition to our regular full timer roster the National Pardon Centre employs several students for part time and internship work, on a rotating basis.
